EU Code Week 2026

EU Code Week 2026 is coming this October, and now is the perfect time to start planning how you, your school, your organisation or your community can get involved.

Taking place from 10 to 25 October 2026, EU Code Week is a Europe-wide celebration of coding, computational thinking, creativity and digital skills. It is open to everyone, from teachers and students to families, libraries, youth groups, community organisations, companies, digital professionals and first-time organisers.

Whether you are planning a classroom activity, a community workshop, a coding club session, a tech career talk, an unplugged activity, a robotics challenge or a company volunteering initiative, EU Code Week offers a flexible way to help people discover digital skills in a fun, practical and inclusive way.

Ready to get started?

The best place to begin is the EU Code Week Guide, which explains how to get involved, how to organise an activity and how to add it to the EU Code Week map.

You can start planning your October activity now, or add your activity directly to the Code Week map once your details are ready. Registering your activity helps make your contribution visible as part of the wider European movement and inspires others to take part.

EU Code Week is for everyone

One of the strengths of EU Code Week is that you do not need to be a coding expert to join. Activities can be simple, creative and adapted to your audience. A Code Week activity could be as short as 30 minutes or form part of a larger programme of lessons, workshops or events.

Schools can introduce students to coding and digital creativity. Libraries and community centres can host beginner-friendly sessions. Parents and families can explore fun activities at home. Youth organisations can bring digital skills into non-formal learning spaces. Companies can support local communities through mentoring, volunteering and career inspiration.

Every activity matters. Together, these local actions help learners across Europe build confidence, curiosity and essential digital skills for the future.

Explore free educational resources

To help organisers get started, EU Code Week offers a wide range of free educational resources, lesson ideas and activities. These materials are designed to support different age groups, learning settings and levels of experience.

These resources can help teachers, trainers, parents and organisers introduce coding, computational thinking, digital creativity, problem-solving and technology in accessible and engaging ways.

Companies can get involved too

EU Code Week is also a valuable opportunity for companies to make a meaningful contribution to digital skills education.

Through Future Ready CSR, companies can find ideas and guidance on how to support young people and communities through mentoring, volunteering, school visits, workshops, career talks and local collaboration.

You do not need a large programme to make an impact. Sometimes, one professional sharing their story, one mentor supporting a group, or one team volunteering their time can help learners see new possibilities for their future.
