Free AI & Quantum Computing Webinars for Teachers | EU Code Week

Artificial intelligence and quantum computing are among the most discussed technologies of our time. Yet many teachers wonder how they can introduce the basic concepts behind these topics in the classroom in an engaging and accessible way.

To support educators across Europe, Science on Stage Europe and Science on Stage Germany are offering a series of free webinars around EU Code Week 2026 that introduce the fundamental concepts behind AI and quantum computing through practical, classroom-tested activities.

The webinars are particularly suitable for teachers looking for accessible entry points and inspiration for future EU Code Week activities.

Exploring Artificial Intelligence in STEM Education

The English-language webinar “AI in STEM Education – A Practical Introduction with Teachable Machine” on 16 September 2026 shows how students can train their own AI models using Google’s Teachable Machine while learning key machine learning concepts.

German-speaking teachers can join the webinar “KI im MINT-Unterricht – Ein praxisnaher Einstieg mit Teachable Machine” on 29 September 2026, which offers a similar introduction in German.

Making Quantum Computing Accessible

While quantum computing may seem even more intimidating than AI, Science on Stage’s webinars demonstrate how complex concepts can be taught through simulations, interactive tools and hands-on learning.

Participants will discover how quantum computing can be connected to computational thinking, algorithmic problem-solving and, depending on the level, introductory coding activities.

• 17 November 2026 | Basics of Quantum Physics & Quantum Bomb Detection
  Introducing key concepts of quantum mechanics through the famous quantum bomb-testing thought experiment.
• 10 February 2027 | From Bits to Quantum Leaps – The Quantum Machine
  Introducing interactive simulations for concepts such as superposition, entanglement and quantum circuits.

German-language quantum computing webinars

• 8 October 2026 | Quantencomputing im MINT-Unterricht – Qubits, Quantengatter und Quantenschaltkreise
  Introducing core concepts of quantum computing and how students can develop their own applications using Qiskit.
• 5 November 2026 | Einfacher Einstieg ins Quantencomputing im Unterricht
  Introducing the interactive quantum machine for concepts such as superposition, entanglement and quantum circuits.

Supporting Teachers for EU Code Week and Beyond

All webinars are free of charge and are based on open, classroom-tested teaching materials developed within the European Science on Stage network.
