The workshop aims to achieve the dream of every developer in the cloud – building a full-fledged vertical scenario application in the fastest and yet cheapest way possible. The whole development process will be in the cloud so our turnaround time will be faster than a mouse click. For the workshop we will be using Dirigible. It is an open source project that provides Integrated Development Environment as a Service (IDEaaS), as well as integrated runtime execution engines. Currently Dirigible is a part of the Eclipse Cloud Development initiative. http://dirigible.io To build our application from scratch, we’ll perform the following steps: • Create Data Model - develop the domain model of the application by taking advantage of Data Structures artifacts • Set up Entity Service - expose the domain model through a RESTful service • Provide User Interface - generate UI on top of an exposed Entity Service • Use Security Constraints - manage security through setting roles for different parts of the application • Test - write Test Cases to ensure for future regression in the code Beyond the standard building blocks of every application, we’ll make the most of other cool features: • Debug to see what's wrong with our code • Explore and improve the generated "User Interface" with WYSWYG editor • Share the application code in GitHub • Figure out how to send an e-mail via the application for less than 5 minutes • Enrich our application with extensions and extension-points • Stop and take a brief glance at Integration Services • Extend and customize the IDE the way you like it Participation is free but you need to register! Ardubots RACE - Robotics Arduino Challenge in Europe
The "Ardubots RACE - Robotics Arduino Challenge in Europe" is an exciting eTwinning project designed for 17-year-old students from Serbia and France. This collaborative initiative aims to promote cross-cultural understanding, teamwork, and STEM skills through the creation of Arduino-based autonomous robots. Students will work in international teams, fostering friendships and collaboration between different cultures. The project culminates in a series of challenges, including friendly robot competitions and races, where teams compete to achieve the best times while navigating special-shaped circuits.
Developing 21st century skills through coding - eTwinning project
Official start of the etwinning project "Developing 21st century skills through coding " founded by teachers participating in the Summer School EUCodeWeek 2023 in Brussels.
It is intended that students develop the skills necessary for 21st-century jobs through challenges posed by teachers or through the creation of solutions to problems related to their contexts where they will have to use coding.
