Activity 1: “Let’s Go Green Together!”

This activity introduces children to the basic concepts of coding, algorithms, and programming through an environmental theme. Children work together to program a “Recycling Robot” to collect waste and take it to the correct recycling bin.

Using a 4×4 or 5×5 floor grid, children use command cards such as Forward, Backward, Turn Right, Turn Left, and Pick Up to create a sequence of instructions. One child acts as the robot, while others create and check the program. If the robot makes a mistake or encounters an obstacle, the children identify and correct the error, introducing the concept of debugging.

The activity encourages teamwork, problem-solving, environmental awareness, and computational thinking. It can also be adapted for use with a Bee-Bot robot. At the end, the children celebrate together with the slogan: “All together, let’s go green together!”

Activity 2: “We Crack the Code with Bee-Bot”

In this activity, children combine coding, creativity, and art using a Bee-Bot robot. The Bee-Bot moves step by step across a colorful grid to find specific colors shown on a worksheet.

Children choose a color, program the Bee-Bot to reach the corresponding square, and then use that color to complete a poster titled “Let’s Go Green Together.”

The activity develops computational thinking, observation, sequencing, teamwork, and creativity, while connecting technology with environmental awareness and art.
