"Safe Online – That's Me!" is a playful EU Code Week event for children aged 3–6. Through games, picture-based activities and simple coding tasks, young learners take their first steps into coding and learn how to stay safe and make smart choices online.

The event is part of the eTwinning project SMART GREEN STEPS, which encourages children to make smart, responsible and sustainable choices in everyday life. For us, being smart also means using technology wisely: knowing when to ask an adult for help, protecting personal information, and balancing screen time with play outdoors.

The children will participate in a series of interactive activities designed to introduce digital safety. We began by discussing safety rules through age-appropriate slides and learned to distinguish between positive and negative online behaviors.

Children will also develop early coding skills through age-appropriate activities. They will color pictures according to number codes, follow simple sequences, match symbols and complete basic logical thinking tasks.

Through interactive games, children will reinforce their knowledge about Internet safety, learn to recognize safe and unsafe online behavior, make appropriate choices and practice basic coding concepts.

The activities will be based on play, pictures, colors and hands-on learning, making them suitable even for children who cannot read yet.

The event will combine digital safety, early coding, logical thinking and responsible digital citizenship in a fun and child-friendly way.
