Code the Colors of Summer – EU Code Week Color-by-Code Challenge

Activity Steps

Step 1 – Introduction (5 minutes)

Introduce EU Code Week and explain that coding is about giving and following instructions. Show the worksheet and explain that each number represents a specific color.

Step 2 – Explore the Color Code (3 minutes)

Review the color legend together. For example:

1 = Light Blue
2 = Yellow
3 = Orange
4 = Blue
5 = Green
6 = Light Brown
7 = Dark Green
8 = Purple

Step 3 – Decode the Picture (15–20 minutes)

Participants carefully examine the worksheet and identify the numbered sections. They color each area according to the code provided.
