How can educators help young people move beyond simply using artificial intelligence to actively creating with it? In a new video produced in collaboration with EU Code Week, Amazon Future Engineer introduces PartyRock for Educators, a free, hands-on learning experience designed to make AI literacy accessible, creative and engaging for classrooms.
As artificial intelligence becomes an increasingly important part of everyday life and work, helping young people understand how AI works, explore its possibilities and use it responsibly is an essential part of digital education.
Through this collaboration, EU Code Week and Amazon Future Engineer are highlighting practical resources that empower educators to introduce AI through real-world challenges, creative experimentation and project-based learning.

Making AI Literacy Practical and Accessible
One of the biggest challenges for educators introducing artificial intelligence is finding ways to turn a complex subject into meaningful, age-appropriate classroom experiences.
PartyRock for Educators approaches this challenge through hands-on activities that encourage students to explore, experiment and create using AI.
The platform offers more than 50 project-based learning challenges across 11 sectors, helping learners connect emerging technologies with real-world problems, industries and potential future careers.
Rather than simply learning about AI in theory, students are encouraged to apply their understanding by developing practical solutions, evaluating outcomes and refining their ideas.
From AI Users to AI Creators
PartyRock for Educators provides opportunities for students to develop their AI skills through three different types of learning experiences:
Build AI-Powered Apps
Students can transform ideas into browser-based prototypes, explore product design and refine their solutions using AI-supported feedback. These activities encourage creativity, problem-solving and iterative thinking.
Explore AI Agents and Data
Learners can work with real datasets, investigate information and use AI to support decision-making, while developing the critical thinking skills needed to evaluate recommendations and assess evidence.
Create AI Workflows
Students can experiment with prompts, models and connected AI processes, exploring how different instructions and approaches influence the outputs generated by artificial intelligence.
Together, these activities support the development of essential AI fluency skills, including knowing when to use AI, communicating clearly with AI systems, evaluating their outputs and taking responsibility for the final results.
Supporting Educators with Ready-to-Use Resources
PartyRock for Educators is designed not only for students but also for teachers who want to introduce AI learning without needing extensive technical knowledge or additional classroom infrastructure.
Educators can explore ready-made learning challenges, create and customise activities, and access supporting materials such as handouts, session plans and guidance for managing classroom projects.
The browser-based experience is accessible on mobile devices, tablets and desktop computers, with resources available in eight languages. Its project-based approach also allows educators to connect AI activities with curriculum topics and career-related learning.
By making AI learning more approachable, these resources can help teachers build their own confidence while giving students opportunities to experiment with technologies that are shaping the future of work.
Connecting Classroom Learning with Future Careers
An important aspect of Amazon Future Engineer’s approach is connecting digital education with opportunities beyond the classroom.
Through experiences such as Amazon Future Engineer Career Tours and sector-based learning challenges, educators can help students explore how technology and artificial intelligence are used in different professional environments.
These experiences can encourage young people to see digital skills not simply as technical subjects, but as tools for creativity, innovation and solving challenges across a wide range of industries.
Bringing AI Literacy to the EU Code Week Community
EU Code Week is committed to making coding, computational thinking and digital literacy accessible to everyone, regardless of background or experience.
As AI continues to transform how we learn, work and communicate, equipping educators and young people with the confidence to understand and use these technologies is an important part of that mission.
Collaborations with partners such as Amazon Future Engineer help connect the EU Code Week community with practical educational resources, inspiring new ways to bring emerging technologies into schools and learning environments.
Whether you are introducing AI for the first time or looking for new ways to extend your existing digital skills activities, the PartyRock for Educators presentation offers ideas and inspiration to explore with your learners.
