Teachers, schools, and European partners recently gathered to celebrate a major milestone in digital education. The event highlighted the growing impact of AI literacy and EU Code Week across North Macedonia.
On 8 May 2026, Europe House Kriva Palanka hosted the milestone event for the initiative: “Code for the Future – Center for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Skills.” This project was implemented by the Association for Education “Edu Skills” as part of the EU Code Week Grants for Grassroots, funded by the European Commission and coordinated by JA Europe.

A Shared Vision for AI Literacy and Digital Skills
The gathering united education professionals and institutional representatives under a single goal: to strengthen coding, computational thinking, and AI literacy.
The project provided a practical framework for schools to integrate digital learning into the daily curriculum. Key features included:
-

The Journey Continues
The project “Code for the Future – Center for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Skills” has shown that when teachers, schools, institutions and partners work together, digital transformation becomes a shared journey. It becomes a process built on knowledge, creativity, inclusion, European cooperation and trust in the potential of young people.
Through this initiative, North Macedonia strengthened its presence within the EU Code Week community and demonstrated that meaningful digital education can grow from local schools and reach a wider European dimension.
The story continues with the same commitment to keep coding the European future of education in our schools, with knowledge, digital skills, innovation, and dedication.
