About the call and selection

This round invited applications from organisations in eligible countries participating in the Digital Europe Programme. A total funding envelope of €19,836 was available, with grants of up to €9,918 per project.

The call prioritised organisations with the experience, capacity and networks to deliver impactful activities within a short implementation period. Particular attention was given to realistic participant reach, educational quality, girls’ participation, STEM career awareness and connections between schools and higher education.

Applications underwent an initial review, including documentation checks and consideration of eligible costs and activities. Shortlisted proposals were then assessed by an impartial selection committee comprising a community member and representatives from the Code4Europe Consortium.

The jury made the final funding decisions against the published criteria:

Presentation
Clarity and completeness.

Design congruity
Alignment with EU Code Week priorities, feasibility and adequacy of resources.

Quality
Educational methods, assessment tools, partnerships, and potential for replication.

Impact
Participant reach, stakeholder engagement, inclusion of girls and young women, and relevance to the local context.

The call was issued and managed by JA Europe on behalf of the Code4Europe Consortium.

Thank you to the EU Code Week community

Over the past two years, local and international grants have supported hundreds of wonderful projects. This round’s response demonstrates the continuing enthusiasm of educators and grassroots organisations for making digital learning more accessible.

We thank all applicants for being part of that effort and hope to see their ideas develop through future EU Code Week activities and opportunities.
