Digital skills are for every learner: Explore new inclusive resources from the Atollo Project
04/05/26
Digital skills are for every learner. That includes learners with special educational needs, who may benefit from digital materials that are flexible, accessible and designed around different ways of learning.
A new set of free resources from the Atollo Project gives SEN teachers, educators and schools a practical way to support more inclusive digital learning in the classroom.
A new resource for inclusive digital education
The Atollo Project is co-funded by the European Union through Erasmus+, under the call ERASMUS-EDU-2023-PI-FORWARD: Partnerships for Innovation – Forward Looking Projects.
The project brings together partners from across Europe with a shared mission: to create high-quality, accessible and engaging digital educational content tailored to the needs of learners with disabilities and special educational needs.
The result is the Atollo Resource Library, a free online collection of multilingual digital learning materials designed to help teachers create more inclusive learning experiences.
What teachers will find in the Atollo Resource Library
- Free digital learning resources for learners with special educational needs
- Materials available in Bulgarian, Croatian, English, German, Icelandic and Norwegian
- Interactive multimedia content, including activities, videos and quizzes
- Resources organised across four differentiated learning levels
- Materials hosted on the IZZI platform, with no registration or payment required
Digital skills and inclusion go hand in hand
EU Code Week is about making coding, computational thinking and digital creativity accessible to everyone. The Atollo resources reflect this same idea by helping ensure that learners with disabilities and special educational needs are included in Europe’s digital education journey.
With the right support, digital learning can help students build confidence, take part more actively in the classroom and explore new ways of learning. For teachers, accessible and differentiated resources can make it easier to adapt lessons to different needs, abilities and learning goals.
Projects like Atollo show that digital skills are not just about using technology. They are about participation, creativity, problem-solving and giving every learner the opportunity to engage with the digital world.
How the resources can support SEN teachers
For SEN teachers and educators working in inclusive classrooms, the Atollo Resource Library can support:
- Differentiated learning activities
- Accessible digital content
- Interactive classroom engagement
- Digital skills development
- More inclusive participation for learners with special educational needs
Whether used as part of a lesson, a small group activity or an individual learning pathway, the resources offer practical support for teachers who want to make digital learning more accessible.
Explore the Atollo Resource Library
Teachers, schools and education professionals are encouraged to explore the Atollo Resource Library and see how the materials could support learners in their own classrooms.
Join the Atollo final conference
The Atollo Project will also host its final conference, Breaking Barriers through Education, on 14 May 2026 in Pula, Croatia, with the option to join online.
The event will bring together educators, project partners and stakeholders to explore inclusive digital education and share insights from the Atollo Project.
Digital skills are for every learner. The Atollo Project is helping make that vision more practical, accessible and inclusive for classrooms across Europe.
