Description:

Activity title: “Wandering around my neighborhood” The aim of the project is to create and to share animated e-cards with Scratch, on the countries and traditions of my primary school students. Students will learn basic coding. In the process of creating such a game, students will develop some fundamental aspects of computational thinking skills. As an activity of CodeWeek, it is planned to take place between the 7th and 21st of October 2019.

On the established date and time, the teacher organizes a Hangouts with the students with a link for the connection within the institute's GSuite for Education. During the link he guides the students to the creation of a simple scene using Scratch, showing the resource and at the same time introducing coding. The purpose of the activity is to bring students closer to coding, especially by making them understand the importance of the logical sequence of actions. At the end of the webinar the students are invited to share their work in a Google Site dedicated to EU Code Week 2019.
