In this collaborative Code Week activity, schools form an international chain of kindness. Each participating school creates a positive compliment for the next partner school, such as “You have wonderful ideas,” “You are great collaborators,” or “Your artwork is amazing.”

To reveal the hidden compliment, the receiving school must follow a coded route created by their partner. Students transform themselves into "human robots" and move across a floor grid following a sequence of coding commands and directional arrows.

Using tape, chalk, or floor tiles, each class creates a large coding board marked with squares and a starting point. Students carefully follow the algorithm step by step until they reach the destination where the hidden compliment is placed. Once the message is discovered, the school prepares a new coded route and a new compliment for the next school in the chain.

Through this engaging unplugged coding challenge, children practice computational thinking while promoting kindness, encouragement, and positive communication among partner schools.
