As part of our project, students will participate in a meaningful and engaging collaborative activity involving five countries. Each participant will select one of the five participating countries and will explore its traditional cuisine.

Students will research a traditional dish from their chosen country, learn about its cultural background, ingredients, and preparation process. They will discover how food reflects history, geography, and national identity.

After completing their research, students will prepare the selected traditional dish and will present it during our international food event. During the event, each participant will introduce the country they have chosen, explain the story behind the dish, and offer tastings to the audience.

This activity will turn our project into a true cultural celebration. Through this experience, students will develop:

“From Our Kitchen to Yours” – Collaborative Activity

Aim of the Activity:
To promote cultural awareness, collaboration, and experiential learning by exploring and presenting traditional dishes from five participating countries.

Instructions for Teachers:
Teachers should introduce the five participating countries and explain the purpose of exploring culture through traditional cuisine while clarifying safety rules and parental involvement. Each student selects one country (balanced distribution is recommended) and chooses one traditional dish. Students research the dish’s name, origin, ingredients, preparation process, and cultural significance, while teachers guide them in using reliable sources and preparing short, well-structured texts in English. The dish may be prepared at home under parental supervision or at school under teacher guidance, with strict attention to hygiene and safety. The preparation process should be documented with photos or short videos. During the Cultural Food Event, students present the chosen country and dish, share cultural facts, and, if permitted, offer tastings. After the event, teachers facilitate reflection and provide feedback based on research quality, presentation skills, creativity, and responsibility.
