Building the Alliance: EU Code Week Meets VET Providers
16/04/26

On 13 May 2026, from 16:30 to 18:00 CEST, EU Code Week will host the online workshop “Building the Alliance: EU Code Week for VET”, organised with the support of the European Vocational Training Association (EVTA). The webinar is dedicated to Vocational Education and Training (VET) educators who want to strengthen their work on digital skills and talent development. EU Code Week is expanding its efforts to involve VET providers more strategically, recognising that vocational learners play a key role in Europe’s digital future.
Introducing the new VET Toolkit
At the heart of this workshop is the presentation of the new EU Code Week VET Toolkit, a resource specifically designed for VET teachers and trainers. The toolkit offers clear, sequential steps to help educators design project-based, collaborative activities that foster students’ creativity, problem-solving and teamwork.
Even teachers who do not consider themselves “technologically-ready” can successfully lead meaningful learning experiences with this toolkit. By combining 3D modelling, creativity, and collaboration, the VET Toolkit supports educators in preparing students for today’s and tomorrow’s labour market.

Who is this workshop for?
The workshop is open to:
VET teachers and educators
VET teachers and educators who are looking for practical tools, ready-made activities and training resources to strengthen students’ digital skills and job-market readiness, while also building their confidence and motivation.
EU Code Week HUB coordinators and other stakeholders
EU Code Week HUB coordinators and other stakeholders who wish to collaborate more closely with VET providers in their local ecosystems, organise information and training events, and connect VET initiatives with the wider EU Code Week community.
By bringing these groups together, the workshop aims to spark new collaborations, encourage the use of the VET Toolkit across different countries and sectors, and build a stronger European alliance for digital skills in VET.
Reaching beyond a single event
“Building the Alliance: EU Code Week for VET” is not just a one-off webinar. It is an invitation to join a growing community that sees VET providers as central partners in promoting digital skills. Through the VET Toolkit, shared activities and ongoing peer learning, EU Code Week offers a welcoming space where VET educators can experiment, grow their practice and give their students more opportunities to create with technology.
Educators and HUB coordinators who join the workshop will leave with concrete ideas, resources and contacts to continue their journey – from organising a first classroom activity to publishing their experiences on the codeweek.eu map and contributing to the European conversation on VET and digital skills.
