On the occassion of the celebration of the International Dot Day we read the book "the Dot" by Peter H Reynolds, craft with recycable matterials and create a dot mural. Then we play with motives of colourded dots on work sheets. This way we play our first unplugged coding game and get initiated into the educational world of coding.

In this activity children are going to get introduced to computational thinking through different coding activities (Beebot games, unplugged activities, pixel art activity). They will create code and crack codes in a fun and appropriate for their age way.
1st Activity (Beebot activity & Unplugged )
First create the Beebot map and program beebot to help Santa Clauss to get dressed. Write down the code. If you don’t have Beebot or other robot, create a floor map and program a child to dress Santa Clauss.
2nd Activity (Beebot activity & Unplugged)
First create a Beebot map. Then program elf – Beebot to put all presents on Santa’s sleigh. Each child can choose a present and lead elf- Beebot to it and then to the sleigh. If you don’t have a Beebot you can create a floor map and children can take the place of Beebot.
3rd Activity (Pixel Art & Color by number)
Decode the color code and reveal the wish or the Christmas image. You can also create a Christmas image using pixel art, write down the code and share with the partners and let then to find out is hiding behind the code. Send coding wishes to friends. Also you can use zapply code to create Christmas pictures.

In this activity children are going to get introduced to computational thinking through Beebot game.
Can you help Wolf’s friends to find the forest school?
First children must create the Beebot map. Then they will have to choose a friend of the wolf and design a code to help him to find his way to the “Foresst school”. They will share the code with other schools. Their partners will have to follow the codes so as to find out which of wolf’s friends their mates helped to find his way to “Forest school”.
If you don’t have Beebot draw the map on the floor and program a child .
· Prepare the game template. Print the squares or draw them according the template.
·Make a video or take a photo of Beebot’s route and share it in the digipad
· Add your code too
· Play with the codes of the others and learn creating algorithms.

Ας μάθουμε λοιπόν στον Υπολογιστή να ξεχωρίζει ποτέ οι καρποί της ελιάς είναι έτοιμοι για μάζεμα. Οι καρποί της ελιάς είναι έτοιμοι για μάζεμα όταν το χρώμα τους είναι πχ μαύρη μελιτζάνα.
Έτσι, αν τοποθετήσουμε μια ελιά στην κάμερα, θα πρέπει να μάθουμε να ανιχνεύσουμε το χρώμα.

1) Έτσι θα βάλουμε ένα αντικείμενο που κινείται και όταν ακουμπήσει το χρώμα που ζητήσαμε να δώσει το κατάλληλο μήνυμα και θα σταματήσει 2) Με αυτόν τον τρόπο θα φτιάξουμε ένα αντικείμενο Γραμμής (με το όνομα spirit1) που καταλαμβάνει ολόκληρη την οθόνη και θα κινείται οριζόντια (δηλαδή κατά μήκος του x). Όταν ακουμπήσει το χρώμα που ζητήσαμε, θα δώσει ένα κατάλληλο μήνυμα και θα σταματήσει. 3) Ο στυλό του έργου https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/832841674/ και RUN 4) Αντιγράψτε το έργο στο Stuff σας και... α) Αλλάξτε το χρώμα ώστε ο υπολογιστής να αναγνωρίσει ότι οι καρποί της ελιάς είναι έτοιμοι για μάζεμα όταν το χρώμα τους είναι π.χ. σκούρο πράσινο. β) β).
