1. Pre-primary (early childhood less than 6 years old).

2. Description: It's enjoyable to embark on a fall leaf hunt in your schoolyard! During this adventure, we select specific characteristics to categorize the natural objects we discover. We use the leaves we collect to create patterns based on their size, shape, and color. For each unique pattern, we develop a code that serves as instructions  for our friends to reproduce the pattern.

Goals

• Helps children grasp how the code functions – running it, checking for errors, and redesigning when needed.

• Aids in expanding their vocabulary by introducing relevant terminology.

The collaborative action was designed by Penelope Georganti, Vassiliki Konstantopoulou, and Angeliki Liapi as part of the focus group for the EU Code Week MOOC, 'Navigating Innovative Technologies Across the Curriculum of EU Code Week.
