Am 14./15.10.2023 findet bereits zum 4. Mal findet der Saar Hackathon für Erwachsene statt. Gleichzeitig bieten "InfoLab Saar - Schülerlabor Informatik" und das CoderDojo Saar einen Junior Hackathon an. An beiden Tagen des Junior Hackathons haben die Jugendlichen Zeit, um längere Software- oder Hardware-Projekte umzusetzen. Die Mentor*innen unterstützen und geben Tipps für die Umsetzung anspruchsvoller Projekte. Je nach Wunsch der Jugendlichen werden professionelle Entwicklungsumgebungen oder Versionsverwaltung vorgestellt. Das neue Wissen könnten die Jugendlichen nutzen, um z.B. am Bundeswettbewerb Informatik teilzunehmen. Für Hardware-Projekte stehen z.B. Roboter oder Arduino mit Zubehör zur Verfügung. Es ist Zeit für größere Projekte. Vorkenntnisse in Programmierung sind von Vorteil. In Länge und Niveau ist diese Veranstaltung für Jugendliche einzigartig im Saarland. AI will shape our future! Therefore, our member country Science on Stage Germany invites you and your students to apply with an innovative approach to using AI.
Your students
- identify a challenge, regionally or globally
- explore how AI can help solve this problem
- design, code, and refine their own AI application
Topics could be: sustainability and environment, health, mobility, diversity, inclusion, etc.
Be inspired by our material: AI in STEM Education
How can you participate?
Develop a project with your students and document the implementation in English in the form of a poster and short film (max. 2 minutes). You submit your application online. Deadline: 23 February 2025.
Who can participate?
European primary and secondary STEM teachers or teachers in training with their students.
What are the evaluation criteria?
Creativity, activity of the students, involvement of the environment (school, city, region), innovation, sustainability, possible applications in practice and presentation of the results.
What happens next?
An international jury will select the ten best teams from the submissions (three students + two teachers per team). They will present their results at the international final on June 6th, 2025 in Berlin.
What can you win?
- For the teachers of the first three winning teams: Participation in the next European Science on Stage festival
- For students: Surprise
Physikalische Informatik

Im Rahmen des Physikunterrichtes wird in den 4. Klassen (a,b,c) wöchentlich eine Stunde programmiert. Basis ist ein Arduino. Programmiert wird mit Hilfe der symbolischen Programmiersprache Scratch4Arduino (S4A).
Die SchülerInnen bauen auf einem Steckbrett elektronische Steuerungen mit Aktoren und Sensoren und steuern/regeln diese mit einer kindgerechten Programmiersprache.
Einsatz eines programmierbaren mobilen Roboters (Bitbot)

SÜ programmieren im DGB-Unterricht den mobilen Roboter.
Als "Gehirn" dient ein micro:bit.
Mit Anleitungsvideos lernen die SÜ die "Fireleds" und Motoren des bitbots zu steuern.
In Anlehnung an den Lego EV3 müssen auf einem begrenzten Tisch verschiedene Aufgaben bewältigt werden (in Zielbereiche fahren, Objekte umrunden, Linien verfolgen usw.)
