Let's compose my musical masterpiece in... Scratch
Mon, Sep 21, 2020 9:30 AM
Students are asked to create their own piece of music using their skills in coding in Scratch. Those who find the assignment too challenging can reproduce a piece already composed by a great composer (as I did :-) ). Not only their creativity is being developed but also their musical skills. Here is my example: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/422420657
Let's code and dance with EV3
Mon, Nov 9, 2020 8:30 AM
Students work individually or in pairs to program their EV3 mindstorm Lego Robot to dance. They may create a dance for one or for two robots. Beginners can use mainly the movement blocks and some facial expressions and sounds while more advanced students can include some sensors as well. After students create their dance, they find suitable music for it. Although the task is based on EV3 mindstorm programming, it develops students' creativity and gives a lot of options for differentiation.
