The activities take place in the computer science classroom of the school and they are part of the cross-curricular project Steam (Science, Technology, Enginery, Art and Mathematics) that we are going to develop this school year. As students are already familiar with the SCRATCH programming language, we will use, in our sessions, the material made available to teachers for the project “The School of Computational Thought” of INTEF. We will introduce students to the repetition of geometric patterns that can be seen both in nature and in art. We will use module 1 of the project: Learn math and much more with Scratch 3.0 It is a project developed by “The School of Computational Thought” of INTEF and inspired by Scratch Maths, a research from University College London that tries to improve the learning of mathematics through computer programming. After carrying out the four investigations of module 1 "Mosaic patterns", students will develop their creativity with the representation of invented mosaics that we will exhibit at the Center in order to promote them to the educational community.

Haciendo accesible la programación y robótica

Este proyecto es una iniciativa de emprendimiento llevada a cabo por un grupo de estudiantes de 1º de Bachillerato, quienes han decidido acercar la robótica a personas que, por diversas razones, no han tenido la oportunidad de explorarlas.
Nuestros estudiantes no solo están construyendo los kits de robótica, sino que también están diseñando la parte teórica de la programación y las herramientas necesarias para que las personas puedan interactuar con la tecnología. Están involucrados en cada etapa del proceso, desde la creación de los kits hasta la elaboración de los recursos educativos.
Además, este grupo de estudiantes está investigando y buscando lugares donde llevar su proyecto, demostrando un verdadero compromiso con la inclusión. Recientemente, llevaron a cabo un taller en un centro de día para personas con grandes discapacidades físicas, donde a través de actividades adaptadas y prácticas, enseñaron cómo funciona la robótica.
Lo más significativo es que, al finalizar el taller, donaron los kits junto con un manual diseñado por ellos mismos, para que las personas del centro puedan seguir aprendiendo y explorando a su propio ritmo. Este proyecto busca demostrar que la tecnología, cuando se pone al servicio de las personas, puede ser una poderosa herramienta de inclusión, autonomía y disfrute para todos.
