The Microbi:t - connecting teachers and students

A team of six teachers from our schools are involved in a project which has a creative goal to connect students and teachers in various programming activities using the micro:bit. Having made a list of all teachers' and students' birthdays, we take turns in programming the micro:bit to send best wishes to the person whose birthday it is. One of the primary goals is socializing , spending quality time together with collegues as well as with students. Programming is also a part of learning through quizzes , games and other creative activities.

Kroz osmišljavane, pravljenje i igranje igrica, učenici će u okviru ove aktivnosti imati interisciplinarni pristup utvrđivanju nastavnih sadržaja (iz matematike, srpskog jezika i prirode i društva), čija je osnova vezana za primenljiva informatička znanja - dizajniranje igrica.

Micro:bit programming

Micro:bit is a programmable micro-computer made by BBC and partners. It offers variety of innovative creations; like lights, displays, robots, musical instruments etc. Micro:bit can be coded from any web browser in Blocks, Javascript, Python, Scratch (no software required). It consists of: 25 LEDs, 2 programmable buttons, external connectors (pins), light and temperature sensor, accelerometer, compass, radio, Bluetooth. There are real device and virtual simulator for the codes execution. As a innovative, easy to use and cheap teaching resource, micro:bit is widely used in schools around the world.
