As the world evolves, programming is becoming an essential tool for all fields of science and even life itself. This is an increasingly encompassing fact in engineering fields, with computing and automation truly augmenting tools and processes. GRIDS Code18 will provide a series of workshops where programming skills will take the center stage. The development of algorithms for solving engineering problems, from motion physics to numerical simulation and optimization, will gravitate around the focus on software development and programming using different languages. Applications will feed awareness, in an interactive and dynamic fashion. This is thought out for a broad audience, with little or no programming background, where you’ll only need the will to learn and an engineering knack.

Start: Oct 7, 2019
Through dot cards will be shown to the class how to convert a number from decimal system to a number in the binary system. Then, groups of students will be formed and they write secret messages between them, using the binary system.
Start: Oct 8, 2019
- Presents de software. - Presents the Arduino and some components. - Implement examples with S4A ( - Realize some small projects.
Start: Oct 9, 2019
Awareness raising with local school teachers to become available to actively participate with as many classes as possible in CodeWeek2019 activity. The aim is to give them as much useful information as possible so that they can integrate, even if once a week in their classes something related to computational thinking, preferably having to do with programming, even not teaching subjects directly linked to the technological teaching. The use of technology within the classroom is imperative, and pedagogical resources will have to tend in that direction. It will certainly make teaching more enjoyable for teachers and students, while at the same time endowing students with other skills. At the limit use programming (Scratch or other visual) to get students to increase their logic and problem-solving skills here, 2x per month. For this purpose we will give a series of lectures, we will have an associated profile on facebook ( and we will have a monthly column in a local newspaper about programming and teaching.
