The theme of the 2016 EUhackathon revolves around visualising copyright evidence to inform the policy debate and support the decision making process The event takes place on 15-16 November, 2016. The goal of this 6th edition is to combine data and academic research from various sources to help create a clearer picture of the issues at stake in copyright, as sometimes the full story is difficult to grasp. The challenge is to (1) create visualisations of copyright evidence based on the data sources available at the Copyright Evidence Wiki (http://www.copyrightevidence.org/evidence-wiki/index.php/Copyright_Evidence) and other external resources and/or to (2) enhance the Copyright Evidence Wiki to enable others to easily create visualisations of the data available. Interested? Apply before 1 September 2016 on the website. The EUhackathon awards ceremony is hosted in the European Parliament (16 November, 15h-17h - Room JAN2Q2) by MEP Therese Comodini Cachia. Other supporters of the event are the European Digital Rights initiative (EDRi), the UK Centre for Copyright and New Business Models in the Creative Economy (CREATe), and Copyright for Creativity (C4C). The event is sponsored by Google.
