Join the EU Code Week Community: International Call for Community Members

EU Code Week is a grassroots movement that celebrates creating with code and helps learners across Europe take their first steps in coding, computational thinking, and digital creativity.
To strengthen local communities in 2026, we are launching a targeted international call for new community members in selected countries. We are looking for motivated educators and community builders who want to support schools, teachers, and local organisers to bring EU Code Week to more learners.

These are volunteer roles and do not involve payment.
Who can apply?
This call is not open in all countries. It is open only in the countries listed below, and the roles available vary by country based on local needs.
Leading Teachers (open in)
Austria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Iceland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Norway, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden.
Ambassador (open only in)
Norway and France
Leading Teachers
Leading Teachers are motivated and enthusiastic educators who help promote EU Code Week and support their peers to organise activities. As a Leading Teacher, you should be able to dedicate a few hours per week to activities such as:
- Participating in community events
- Encouraging teachers and school leaders in your country or region to organise lessons and activities, and register them on the Code Week website
- Sharing and promoting teacher training opportunities
- Supporting development and localisation of teaching resources in your language
- Training teachers interested in coding
Ambassadors
Ambassadors help spread the vision of EU Code Week locally and act as a key point of contact for community activation. In this call, the Ambassador role is open only in Norway.

How selection works
This is one international application form published through EU Code Week channels. However, selection will be local:
- Applications will be shared with the relevant National or Regional Hub for the country you apply to.
- A local selection committee will be formed with the local established community and evaluate the applications.
- After selections are completed, all applicants will be informed by email.
These are volunteer roles and do not involve payment.
Timeline
- Application deadline: 18 January 2026 (23:59 CET)
- Local selections: 20 to 30 January 2026
- Orientation meeting (online): 5 February 2026
