EU Code Week is hosting an online session focused on how industry and education can work together to build digital skills, share good practices, and shape future-focused learning.

What we’ll cover
This session will unpack the deeper skills behind coding and why they matter for learners, educators, and anyone building digital confidence in 2026.
- Coding as a way of thinking: how computational thinking helps learners break problems down, recognise patterns, and design clear solutions.
- Creativity, experimentation and resilience: moving beyond “syntax drills” towards making, testing, debugging and learning through iteration.
- Collaboration and interdisciplinary insight: how coding projects increasingly blend logic with art, storytelling, data and social sciences.
- Empowerment in a digital society: how coding supports digital literacy and participation, especially for girls and underrepresented groups.
Who should join?
- Teachers and educators (primary, secondary, and VET)
- Teacher trainers, school leaders, and education decision-makers
- Youth workers, coding club organisers, and community mentors
- Parents and guardians supporting learners
- Anyone curious about how coding and digital skills are evolving in 2026
