Hello, Future Hackathon: A Digital Spring of Ideas

Spring 2025 saw a powerful wave of creativity with the Hello, Future Hackathon: 48 teams, 200+ participants, and 40 mentors.
🏆 The top 3 winning teams were:

  • Tech Titans, who created AI Techguide Voice — a digital assistant for the visually impaired.

  • The National Academy of the State Border Guard Service, with Dotyk Education — an inclusive platform and device for students with visual and hearing impairments.

  • The Trident Team, who built FocusEd Baby — a learning platform for neurodivergent children, recognized at the European level.

Girls in Digital : A Space for Growth and Empowerment

We hosted five tailored events for girls, with over 700 participants: a panel talk with IT leaders from ELEKS, GitLab, and SoftServe (180 attendees), a workshop on digital skills for the circular economy (120), a masterclass on turning ideas into products (130), a storytelling and personal branding session (100+), and a final career day (90 girls left with CVs, interview tips, and guidance). All shared one message: every girl deserves a digital future.

More Highlights from the Year

Three Ukrainian ambassadors joined the EU CodeWeek community. A new digital event calendar helped plan over 100 activities. Hackathon winners shared their story at Youth Business Day. JA Ukraine’s social media spotlighted success stories and inspired new participants. During Global Money Week, 130 creative sticker packs were produced, combining digital and financial literacy in a fun way.

Year-End Summary: Collective Power for a Digital Future

Impact in numbers: 7,280 digital activities, 120,000+ participants, and countless stories of change. This movement was made possible by dedicated educators, curious students, and incredible partners and volunteers.

Special thanks to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine for enabling this digital transformation.

This is Just the Beginning

EU CodeWeek is more than a date on the calendar. It’s a growing movement. We’re already gearing up for next year, and we invite everyone to join in. Coding is for everyone. Digital skills are the future we create together.
