24/11/25

Second Round of EU Code Week Grants for Grassroots

We’re excited to announce the launch of the second round of EU Code Week Grants for Grassroots,
an initiative designed to foster digital innovation and coding education across Europe.
As part of the broader Code4Europe project, these grants support impactful grassroots activities
aligned with EU Code Week’s mission to promote coding, computational thinking, and digital skills.

Status: Calls will go live hub-by-hub over the coming weeks. This page will be updated as links become available.

About the Grants Programme

The Grants for Grassroots programme provides financial support to innovative coding projects across Europe.
Through our network of National and Regional Hubs, we are launching the second series of calls for proposals
to identify and fund initiatives that advance Code Week’s objectives.

  • Enable development of innovative and scalable coding activities.
  • Support integration of coding into educational contexts.
  • Encourage community involvement and local partnerships.
  • Prioritise inclusion, with a focus on bridging the gender gap in STEM.

How It Works

As in the first round, each National or Regional Hub will publish its own call for proposals with
eligibility criteria, application process, timelines, and thematic focus for their region.

  • Grant size: typically between €1,000 and €5,000 (varies by hub and project scope).
  • Who can apply: schools, libraries, NGOs, private organisations, coding clubs, and associations specialising in coding and computational thinking. Check your local call for exact eligibility.
  • Selection: proposals assessed for impact, inclusion, scalability, and alignment with EU Code Week goals.
