You’re Invited to Join #Code4Summer – A Celebration of Coding, Creativity and Community!
As the school year winds down and summer begins, a world of opportunities opens up for young people to explore new ideas, build digital skills, and have fun. This summer, we’re inviting teachers, librarians, non-formal educators, youth workers, and anyone passionate about digital literacy, to get involved in #Code4Summer, a pan-European initiative that brings coding to life during the summer months! You’re Invited to Join #Code4Summer – A Celebration of Coding, Creativity and Community!
Whether it’s a one-day workshop in your local library, a week-long coding camp, a robotics project, or a game-making activity, every initiative counts. The goal? To spark curiosity, creativity, and collaboration in young people through coding and digital exploration.
What is #Code4Summer?
#Code4Summer is part of the broader EU Code Week movement and was designed by association Langas į ateitį, a Lithuanian non-profit initiative established in 2002. Supported by socially responsible companies, Langas į ateitį has played a leading role in promoting digital literacy and encouraging the safe and inclusive use of ICT across Lithuanian society – particularly among youth and digitally excluded communities.
Building on this vision, #Code4Summer expands the reach of Code Week beyond October, turning the summer into a season of digital exploration across Europe.
Why Get Involved?
By organising an activity as part of #Code4Summer, you will:
- Promote technological literacy among children and young people
- Foster creativity and problem-solving through hands-on digital activities
- Connect with a wider European community passionate about digital education
- Showcase your local impact while contributing to an international initiative
It’s also a great way to keep young minds active and engaged during the holiday months, especially for communities where access to creative, tech-based programmes may be limited.
