What’s Ahead for EU Code Week: Our 2025–2026 Roadmap

As we are wrapping up the 2024-2025 academic year, we’re excited to share a full view of what’s coming next year between September 2025 and June 2026. This roadmap brings together your creativity, energy, and impact, and it’s packed with exciting campaigns, activities, and opportunities to get involved.
Here’s what to expect over the next few months and how you can bring Code Week to life in your classroom, school, or community:
September 2025
Community Meeting & Back-to-School Kickoff
We’ll start the new school year by coming together in Madrid for a special community and consortium meeting, where ambassadors, hub leaders, and leading teachers will plan the year ahead. At the same time, we launch our Back-to-School campaign to energize classrooms and educators all across Europe. It’s the perfect time to start planning your Code Week activities!
October 2025
Code Week 2025: Let’s Code Together (October 11–26)
Get ready for the biggest coding celebration of the year! Whether you’re organising a workshop, a lesson, or a full week of events, this is your moment to put creativity and digital skills center stage. Mark your calendars and don’t forget to register your events on codeweek.eu!
This year, we’re also planning to launch a special Code Week 2025 brochure, featuring exclusive events, webinars, and activities focused on digital skills. It will be a unique opportunity for educators and learners to gain new expertise, connect with others, and feel part of a vibrant European community.
October–November 2025
Coding with Minecraft
Students love it! And educators do too! This special campaign brings Minecraft Education into the classroom to teach coding and computational thinking through playful, story-driven missions. Watch for tutorials, lesson plans, and global challenges to spark engagement.
November–December 2025
Local Hackathons
Time to innovate! Across Europe, hubs and community partners will organise youth-focused hackathons, where students collaborate, create, and solve real-world challenges using technology. Whether large or small, your local event can help young minds shine. More details coming soon.
December 2025–January 2026
Holidays Campaign
Celebrate coding in a festive way! The Holidays Campaign includes creative coding activities, family-friendly events, and joyful experiments with tech during the winter break. Keep the Code Week spirit alive, even when school is out and hot chocolate is bubbling!
January–February 2026
Hackathon Finals
It’s time to spotlight the best of our hackathons! Winning teams from local events will connect and share their solutions in a cross-border final round. More details will follow soon, but expect inspiration, recognition, and big ideas!
March 2026
Girls in Digital Campaign
In March, we shine a spotlight on girls and young women in tech. Through the Girls in Digital campaign, we’ll share stories, tools, and events that inspire inclusive digital learning. April 2026
Dream Jobs Campaign

May 2026
Corporate Social Responsibility Programme
In May, our corporate partners step forward to support classrooms, teachers, and communities. Look out for workshops, mentorship offers, special campaigns, and new collaborations. It’s a great chance to build bridges between education and industry.
