“Coding in space for the climate change”

As part of World Space Week 2024 with the theme: "Space and Climate Change", which

emphasizes the critical role of space exploration and technology in understanding and

addressing the challenges posed by climate change, the following activities will be

implemented:

1) On a tabletop robotic track we will place images of different parts of the Earth (images of

forests, oceans, ice, atmosphere, etc.). The children are asked to program the satellite robot

(Beebot) to pass by these points to measure and collect data which will be sent to Esa (end).

2) Children are asked to draw on a worksheet the boxes (pixels) according to the

numerical/colour code given (each number corresponds to a colour) and reveal the secret

picture (Pixel Art)
