* * * Nov.3 2024 * * * 2 workshops of 3 hours each, the participants will be exposed to content and teaching methodologies to be used in the domain, mainly for coding and robotics to work with kids ages 4-13. The participants (adults) will also have the opportunity to experiment and do hands on activities and experiments on their own / in small groups to get a better understanding of what their options are in terms of delivering such activities to their kids and students. Brainstorming, discussions and use cases analysis will be done as part of the event to give the participants multiple views and approaches. The event will aim to reach underrepresented groups directly and indirectly.

Das Roboterset Spike Prime von Lego eignet sich sehr gut für die Ausbildung und erste Erfahrungen mit Robotik. In unserem zweiteiligen Kurs lernen Jugendliche ab 12 Jahren die Motoren und Sensoren des Robotersets kennen. Was kann ein Ultraschallsensor? Was lässt sich mit einem Motor bewegen? Jedes Team kann ein eigenes Robotermodell aufbauen. Soll der Roboter fahren? Oder eine andere Aufgabe erfüllen?

Nach einer Einführung in die textuelle Programmiersprache Python lernen die Jugendlichen, wie der eigene Roboter mit Python programmiert werden kann. Dazu gehört auch zu lernen, die Dokumentation der Roboterbefehle zu benutzen.

Im Workshop wird sowohl Wissen über Robotersysteme, als auch Python erlangt. Robotersysteme verlangen eine Auseinandersetzung mit dem physikalisch Möglichen und den Gegebenheiten vor Ort, z.B. in Bezug auf Schwellwerte für Sensoren. Das erste Wissen über Python kann später erweitert werden, um z.B. Algorithmen der Künstlichen Intelligenz zu programmieren.

Die beiden Workshoptermine bauen aufeinander auf. Es muss an beiden Terminen teilgenommen werden.

Vorkenntnisse in Robotik oder Programmierung sind für den Workshop nicht notwendig.
