Open in-person activity

Greek

Ρούση Κωνσταντίνου, 441 00, Κόνιτσα

The project is based on the development of mobile applications using the software environment MIT App Inventor for creating mobile applications. Students will design their (first) mobile application, coded using blocks, and then share it with other participants in the project. During the project, students will cooperate with students from partner schools, present their applications and methods of their development, and thus exchange the acquired knowledge related to the development of mobile applications. Students from partner schools will create at least one application to present and promote their school, city (region) or country. In this way, they will become active users of mobile application development tools, not just their passive users. Student activities in this project will be related to the outcomes of the computer science, curriculum and cross-curricular topics (primarily in the domain of computer thinking and programming, but also in the domains of e-society and digital literacy and communication).

Mon, Jan 8, 2024 8:30 AM

The present project focuses on the approachment of the sustainable development and the cultivation of 21st century skills: life skills, soft skills and technology/science skills, through the utilization of educational robotics, basic programming concepts and STEAM education activities by preschool children, school age and higher education students.

Based on the activity theory and the belief that learning is the result of interaction, the specific concern of this project is the expansion of the learning environment outside the classroom. According this “openness” of the school, is applied a formal, informal and non-formal type of education, in which the natural, social and cultural environment is utilized as a primary source of knowledge.

In this context, parents can be implicated in the action planning, implementation and evaluation of activities while the pedagogical role of teacher is one of facilitator and participative.
