Description:

Se trata de un taller de programación usando el lenguaje SCRATCH, enmarcado en la Semana de la Cultura del Instituto que tradicionalmente se celebra en el mes de abril. Va a ser diseñado y ejecutado por el alumnado del área de TICs de primero de bachillerato bajo la dirección de su profesor. El objetivo es implementar las ideas de los alumnos y alumnas del primer ciclo de ESO, 12 y 13 años, que tengan interés por el tema y conseguir pequeños proyectos Scratch que se compartan en Internet.

Senior students of our High School will research, analyze, write and talk, in English, about the technological advances which have had an impact on education or are changing the way we are teaching and learning today. Day 1. - In pairs, students will choose one of these inventions, tools or applictations that they consider to be the most important and will put it in its historical context, describe its form and uses, and its impact on education. At this stage, both members will safe their research making use of the digital tools the can make use of. Day 2. - The whole class will listen to the presentations of the different groups. Day 3. - A roundtable debate will be held in order to determine which are, in our students' opinion, the most important technological advances. Day 4. - After the debate, students will bothe work on an imphographic design to capture what was said and, on a chronolgical timeline of the items which were reviewed. Spread the word: The final product will be published in our English school magazine: INSIGHT which is available on the web site of our school. Those students who want to take the activity a step beyond can also post their tweets: #CodeWeek, @CodeWeekEU
