Kode Bas!cs goes through the fundamentals of coding by using a 3D, drag-and-drop environment, mindmaps, and storyboards. This way we avoid troublesome syntax errors when taking the first steps into the world of coding, making the experience more positive and enjoyable for new coders. We explore binary, variables, and functions through different projects throughout the course. Students will work on their own end-product and design and create a video game that they have the opportunity to present to the rest of the team as well as their parents on the final day of the course. This course lasts for 10 weeks - one time a week for 1,15 hrs per age group (age groups: 7-10 years and 11-14 years). Max: 15 participants per course. The course is held at Reykjavik University.
