This event will introduce participants aged 15-19, to basic steps on programming, how to design a website, and how to code it using HTML and CSS. The event will be held in an online format, via the Discord platform. Further, the participants will use the Sublime text editor to write their code, with the help of the trainer. Also, participants will use an online website - Canva to design their website. Therewith, the aim of the event is to present the participants with the basics of web development, how to easily draw their website in Canva, and later how to transform their design into code and make their first website. The target group for this event refers to high school students who want to discover more about what web development is and to find out how designers design and web developers code websites. Also, an event will include a research part, on where and how to search for inspiration, how to analyze existing websites, how to make sketches of your idea and transfer it into Canva, and at the very end on how to transform the design into code. All the participants will receive a certificate of participation, in .pdf format.

Create Your Own Google Logo

Create your Own Google Logo  and bring it to life using code. Make the Google letters dance, tell a story or create a game. In this activity, students will use a popular programming language designed for kids called Scratch. Scratch was created by MIT and its block-based interface is easy for beginners to understand.  (Scratch is the best introduction to coding for beginners).

Students will have a chance to modify the Google Logo and program each letter with a variety of animations and special effects to create their own unique logo. Students can unleash their creativity and also learn the basics of coding with this simple activity that is perfect for beginners.  Google provides a lot of awesome resources for teachers running this activity in their classroom. Virtual kindergarten coding

Project members of the eTwinning project " Virtual kindergarten"will try various unplugged coding activities with the preschoolers in their kindergarten classes. We will create a collection of those activities on a Padlet.
