Adapting DigComp to Children:

Use in kindergarten, primary, and secondary school

Márti Domokos, coordinator of the HERMMES project, Prof. Dr Paula Bleckmann, professor for media education at the Alanus University, and Dora Šimunović, advocacy coordinator of the European Council for Steiner Waldorf Education, will present the HERMMES project which developed a European-level framework curriculum, guidelines, and training for digital media education in kindergartens, primary and secondary schools based on the DigComp structure, that is adaptable to national and other requirements.

The main aim of the HERMMES approach is to protect children’s well-being and provide them with learning opportunities appropriate to their age that will lead them to acquire digital competences, as portrayed in the DigComp Framework for Citizens.
