From October 19 to November 6 2020 I am planning an online activity with my secondary schools students. I have ten students (from two different classes) who are listening to the optional subject "Experimental Physics". Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, I have to teach this subject online (students from different classes are not allowed to mix). Each student should choose one physical problem (task): a computer program should be written to solve it. The program should be written in pseudo-language using defined rules for writing commands (they learned this in the first grade of high school in Computer Science). They will use Input and Output commands, branching (if..then..else command) and program loop (FOR, DO WHILE..) Some of the students also studied the C / C ++ programming language in the second and third grade of high school and they will also write a computer program. All work instructions will be given to them via a virtual classroom (Google classroom) The objective of this activity is to apply knowledge in programming to the specific physics problems (tasks). Students will refresh their knowledge of computer science and relate it to the physical problems. Students will have two weeks to write pseudocode and a computer program. In a joint online lesson during the first week of November, students will analyze their solutions. Prior knowledge: each student has basic knowledge of pseudocoding and some of them also have basic knowledge of programming in C language.
