We will introduce coding in our pupils 4-6 years old. Stages of work: 1. The concept of algorithm. Starting from situations related to everyday life, we will introduce children to the concept of algorithm focusing in particular on the correct behaviors to avoid the spread of the virus (for example, identifying the correct sequence of actions to wash hands); 2. Unplugged coding. We will show the children the command cards (start, stop, go forward, turn right, turn left) and draw a grid on the floor containing some boxes with the image of the virus and some bonus boxes (containing images of prevention actions). The children will use the command cards to write the algorithm of the path that a robot (played by a partner) will perform to reach a goal avoiding the virus boxes and passing over the bonus boxes; 3. Educational robotics. Programming a robot (BeeBot, mTiny, Kids First Coding & Robotics ) for the execution of the previously identified path (algorithm) * use of the bilingual book "The Galactic Guide to the Coronavirus" to identify the appropriate behaviors to keep in class to avoid the transmission of the virus

Nearby upcoming activities:
TIME IN NATURE
a) Task: Use the color code on the card and discover FALL.
b) Task: Create a classroom display of students' work.
OBJECTIVES:
•To promote thinking
•To carry out technology-related activities
•Bringing ideas to life through programming and making programming more visible
•To bring together motivated students to explore and learn about our digital world
RESULTS OF THE ACTIVITY: This activity can help create a more enjoyable school environment, and the encouraging activity of you and your peers displayed in the classroom will remind you of the FALL season
CODE ACTIVITY WHAT THE TREE IS TELLING ME
ETWINNING PROJECT WHAT THE TREE IS TELLING ME through research cognitive activities and stories connects the wonderful plant and animal world with steam activities. After the conversation "What do children know about a tree?", each partner in the project will carry out coding activities in their own way and join the coding week
