Happening at:
16 Avenue de la Porte de Montmartre, 75018 Paris, France

From Saturday 11th of October 2014 at 14:00 to Saturday 11th of October 2014 at 18:00

Description:

The Future Classroom Learning Labs are joining forces to promote coding teaching and learning. Students from schools across Europe and beyond will have the chance to build and share their digital creations. The aim of this alliance is to develop digital creativity among students, as well as to boost coding, and programming skills in students by creating innovative and engaging activities related to tinkering, making, robotics, augmented reality, IoT, game design, web/mobile development, playful coding activities, 3D printing, unplugged activities, art and creativity and visual block programming. We call all Learning Labs, like-minded organizations and schools to also organize an activity and join the alliance. Feel free to contact us to get the Code Week 4 All code. The DIS-CODE project is organizing an International Scratch Jam from the 1st to the 23rd November, where students from schools across Europe and beyond will have the chance to build and share their digital creations. The aim of DIS-CODE project is to develop digital literacy and mathematical skills for students that tend to be less interested in school and maths, especially by learning basics on how to program in an engaging way. To learn coding means to keep up-to-date personal competences and transversal skills, such as problem solving, team work and analytical thinking. The Scratch Jam is open to students from 12 to 18 years old and no previous knowledge of computer programming is required. The coding language of the competition will be Scratch.
