Saving the Animals of the Forest!

A Coding Activity with Bee-Bot in the eTwinning Project

As part of an eTwinning project involving kindergarten schools from different European countries, the 4- and 5-year-old children in our school explored coding through a playful and educational activity using Bee-Bot.

Activity Goal: Save the animals of the forest from a fire by correctly programming Bee-Bot to bring them to safety.

Methodology: Following the rules of coding, the children planned and tested the necessary commands to guide the robot along the path. Sometimes, the teacher asked them to find the shortest route, while other times, they had to find the longest one, fostering computational thinking and problem-solving skills.

European Collaboration: This activity was carried out in synergy with other European schools, allowing children to share experiences and develop digital skills in an international setting.

An exciting experience that introduced young learners to the world of programming in a creative and engaging way!
