What are the top three reasons why everyone / kids should learn how to code?
Code is everywhere! It is part of our daily life. Learning to code means to be prepared for the jobs of tomorrow, but also to be able to integrate digital technology where it is required. Democratising code is creating more equal opportunities!
How can interested people contribute to Code Week?
At Tralalere we have developed Citizen Code, a ready-to-use workshop. Even someone who does not know much about computers can present Citizen Code! Leading this fun and interactive workshop with young people can be an easy and accessible way to contribute to Code Week.
Which project/activity related to Code Week are you most proud of, and why?
I am very proud of the Citizen Code workshops: last year we organized a big online workshop. This year, we are going to offer online workshops in rural areas and to people who do not have easy access to digital technology. We will also offer workshops in schools. Why am I proud of Citizen Code? This interactive project is freely available online, and pays particular attention to women’s place in the digital world, contributing to inclusion!
