The timing of EU Code Week 2025 was carefully decided through a collaborative process involving Code Week Ambassadors, Leading Teachers, and other key community members from various countries. This approach ensures that the event fits well into school calendars and community schedules, making it accessible to as many participants as possible.

What is EU Code Week all about?

For those who may not be familiar, EU Code Week started back in 2013 as a grassroots initiative dedicated to encouraging people of all ages to explore programming, digital creativity, and problem-solving. Over the past 12 years it has grown, with 79 countries registering activities in 2024. The goal is to make coding fun and accessible while equipping participants with essential digital skills for the future. Schools, coding clubs, libraries, and tech organisations all contribute to this inspiring movement by hosting free activities and workshops.

One of the best ways to be part of EU Code Week 2025 is by organising or joining an activity and registering it on the official Code Week map. Activities can be registered anytime of year. Whether it’s a beginner-friendly coding session, an advanced robotics workshop, or a hackathon, every contribution helps make this event a success!

How to Register Your Activity:

1. Go to the EU Code Week website and log in or sign up for an account.
2. Click on “Register Activity” and provide details about your event.
3. Once your event is complete, report it and check out the available resources, including How to Get your Code Week Certificate.
