On the occasion of the World Environment Day 2021 and after their involvement, in the framework of the European program "Schools defenders of the earth" where they became aware of issues related to climate change, children create an interactive poster in order to sensitize their classmates and parents, on climate change and environmental protection. By using the intervention kit makey makey and the programmable platform scratch created tangible interfaces in order to spread their messages. PREREQUISITE KNOWLEDGE Kids have a little familiarity with the makey makey invention kit, but also with scratch programming, using fairly simple commands. Educational goals: - Learn about World Environment Day -To practice more in creating tangible interfaces and to program through scratch, to collaborate and create having a common goal. -To be aware of the environment and to act as active citizens. Step 1 Discussion in plenary, followed by a storm of ideas about the design of the poster and its content. The children suggest ideas and the Kindergarten teacher records them. Step 2 The children are divided into 6 groups in order to create the collaborative poster and the content they have undertaken. • I love animals • We do not waste water and energy • I recycle • We plant trees and flowers • Not in cars • We ride a bike Step 3 Initially, each group undertakes to connect the cables (alligator clips), with the makey makey board on one side and on the other side with the point of the poster that they want, using aluminum foil as a conductive material, creating tangible interfaces. Then using the scratch programming environment you create a new project where each group utilizes the commands • "when key pressed" • "play sound until done" which he introduces to the new work. While selecting through the command play sound until done to record the message he wants to hear. Step 4 Execution / control - Modifications and re-control Each group checks the tangible interface it created to see if the scratch programming works. In case something does not work properly make the necessary modifications. Step 5 The poster is also presented to the children in the next class, who in turn try the tangible interfaces, evaluating the action and giving feedback to their classmates. EVALUATION We use 3 emoticons with the children in order to create a small evaluation rubric that will concern the steps that followed. The children evaluate the stages, showing each time the emoticon that represents them.
