Pattern recall – Pupils are given a handout which they have to colour in the right order. Teacher gives instructions on which colours to use to complete the activity. Once ready teacher reveals her set of blocks and pupils have to check if they followed the instructions correctly. If not, they have to identify the mistake and correct it, thus introducing pupils to the concept of debugging.
