Coding@schools Group is ready for Codeweek school label
Publication date: May 18, 2022
European Commision and EU CodeWeek are launching a new challenge. Schools from six pilot Countries (France, Greece, Italy, Holland, Slovenia e Spain) are called to apply for the Code Week School Label.
This recognition is meaningful for schools that took part in CodeWeek Campaign in the last years, giving their contribution to the success of the initiative.
It’s not just the quantity of activities that schools register on the European map of events. The most important feeling is to be part of a Comunity introducing computational thinking in the classrooms and integrating coding into the school subjects. Moreover, students can exchange coding experiences with other classes of different Countries, even on eTwinning platform.
The form is very simple to fill. What schools need is the commitment of teachers and headmasters to actively partecipate in the next two Code week editions (2022 and 2023). It’s also remarkable that the Code Week school label has been presented in occation of 10th Code Week birthday.
From the eTwinning feature Group coding@schools, many teachers are ready to be rewarded with the label for their school, being a consistent part of the innovative movement that promote coding as a new method to improve soft skills and 21st century competences.
Applications are open by the end of May. Best practices and ready lessons will be spread out in the Coding@schools eTwinning Group https://groups.etwinning.net/45001/home.
