2 workshops of 3 hours each, the participants will be exposed to content and teaching methodologies to be used in the domain, mainly for coding and robotics to work with kids ages 4-13. The participants (adults) will also have the opportunity to experiment and do hands on activities and experiments on their own / in small groups to get a better understanding of what their options are in terms of delivering such activities to their kids and students. Brainstorming, discussions and use cases analysis will be done as part of the event to give the participants multiple views and approaches. The event will aim to reach underrepresented groups directly and indirectly.

It is important that the participant can read well. After an introduction to Scratch, we will build on this knowledge to program our own game.
Workshop +5 jaar -- Programmeren met Vuurtoren

This workshop is suitable for participants from 5 years old (3rd kindergarten class) and is recommended up to the 1st grade. With our cool Matalab Proset, we will take our first steps into programming. To keep things varied for our youngest participants, we will also program using an app and color magic drawings that come to life through Augmented Reality.
