Tijdens 3 workshops op woensdagnamiddag leren we kennismaken met games, VR en de makerspace van Fyxxi. In deze laatste workshop maken we onze eigen robotcreaties met LEGO-blokken, waarna we ze programmeren via blokjes code of Scratch, dit naargelang het niveau van de jongeren. We richten ons op jongeren uit het basisonderwijs (vanaf 10 jaar) en het secundair onderwijs. We hebben daarbij ook aandacht voor jongeren die het iets moeilijker hebben op school, om via 2 unieke projecten: GameHive en Fyxxilab de jongeren terug zin te laten krijgen in programmeren en maken. Het unieke is dat we beide kunnen combineren. Ons motto: Code, play and make!

This workshop is suitable for participants from 7 years old (2nd grade). It is important that the participant can read well.
After an introduction to Scratch, we will build on this knowledge to program our own game.
Workshop +5 jaar -- Programmeren met Vuurtoren

This workshop is suitable for participants from 5 years old (3rd kindergarten class) and is recommended up to the 1st grade.
With our cool Matalab Proset, we will take our first steps into programming.
To keep things varied for our youngest participants, we will also program using an app and color magic drawings that come to life through Augmented Reality.
Workshop +6 jaar -- Programmeren met Scottie Go

This workshop is suitable for participants from 6 years old (1st grade) and is recommended up to the 6th grade.
Using a game board and a tablet, we will learn programming in a playful way. We need to help Scottie on his mission and guide him through different levels.
