Abby, an avatar in Scratch 3, is visiting Malta. On this trip she asks for our help in order to get to know this country better. Objectives of the activity are: a) students to be introduced to code creation and programming, b) to develop their computational and algorithmic thinking, c) to cultivate digital creativity and d) to develop critical thinking through their choices. The activity is part of a European e-twinning program, where students are invited to get to know many European countries. The activity will take place from October 14 to 16. The start is made by a presentation in Scratch 3. Then the following equipment will be used: the Beebot floor robot, an activity box with pictures, a dice with pictures, tabs, the arrows for creating the code, a laptop. Images related to Malta (flag, sights, etc.) will be placed on the floor. Each time a student rolls the dice with the pictures, another student will create the code with the darts-cards in order for the Beebot floor robot to be in the correct picture-information on the floor. The third student will program the Beebot according to the code. The activity will continue in Scratch 3, where students will capture everything they learned about Malta from the Beebot activity.
