Invite-only in-person activity
Saint Brigids National School, Greystones Municipal District, Ireland
A group of secondary school students will coach approximately a dozen 3rd & 4th class students who attend Learning Support for Special Needs, in code using 'Hour of Code' activities from the Code.org website. The Learning Support students accompanied by the student tutors and supervised by members of the Parents' Association will be timetabled to initially teach younger classes code, then their peers and finally older classes in the school. This will develop their self esteem, their 'standing' amongst their classmates, and their problem solving and coding skills.
