The online event "Proud of Being European with Scratch" will take place in collaboration with the Colegio Publico Integrado in Zaragoza, Spain and in partnership with our national organisation TechSoup -Meet and Code We aim to use digital technology to develop our students' digital communication skills in English through the Scratch coding program. as well as the competencies of sec. XXI teamwork, creativity, critical thinking and cooperation. Students will work in international teams, coordinated by volunteer teachers from the two schools.The teams will discuss the prejudices and stereotypes of the two cultures , will find common ground, and through the "game based learning" method available with the Scratch application, they will make games and small scenarios in a dynamic and playful way to train other classmates. Thus, participants will develop their cognitive and emotional side of their own personality. The coding program will keep their attention focused and stimulate their critical thinking and analysis. Collaborating in international teams will learn to cooperate effectively and respect each other, listening carefully to each opinion to make a final decision. regarding the identified prejudices and stereotypes. We want the Scratch program to bring our students closer, to collaborate and be proud to be European. Without prejudices, with collaboration and an open mind we learn online with Scratch to be digital creators!
