Like a Leading Teacher for me its a mission to share with all my collagues and to spread the Word about Code Week 2020. The form of distribution and support of teachers and students in my project and plan this year results in: 1. disseminating ideas for pupils and students, teachers, parents, community members and representatives of surrounding businesses and local government representatives about the importance of incorporating Code Week 2020 as a necessary basis in educating students for a safer future. (online on etwinning platform and onsite meeting on schools and busines locality) 2. To evaluate code week 2020 platform materials as well as the form of inclusion of pupil categories in this platform, both in entertainment and educational forms 3. Develop and implement coding and robotics-centered education plans. 4. Research the needs of technology knowledge and apply it in our daily practice, in businesses, in research centers ect ect by designing robotic and coding opportunistic solutions LEADING TEACHERS of code week - Online open activity - Onsite open activity

Butterfly Algorithms
Tue, Jul 4, 2023 9:30 AM

Computational thinking is a problem-solving process that is used in everyday life as well as computer programs. In this lesson, students apply their computational thinking skills to explore the life cycle of a butterfly. They'll create an algorithm, or set of instructions, to model the life cycle of a butterfly. They will write this algorithm using conditionals and then program it on a computer.

Students will:

  • Analyze the life cycle of a butterfly.
  • Develop an algorithm that describes the cycle.
  • Apply conditionals to an algorithm.
  • Finish and test the algorithm of a computer program to demonstrate the life cycle of a butterfly.
